Customer-first guidance

Simple explanations without hidden or unsupported claims.

1. Overview

Warranty arrangements depend on the product and named provider. Read the product page before purchase; the seller, warranty type, provider, duration, coverage and key exclusions should be shown clearly.

2. Warranty types

VikiniMataEtha Warranty

VikiniMataEtha provides or administers the advertised commercial warranty.

Seller Warranty

The named third-party seller is primarily responsible for the warranty it advertised. VikiniMataEtha may receive evidence, communicate, track, mediate and enforce marketplace rules.

Manufacturer Warranty

The manufacturer, authorised distributor or authorised service network shown on the listing provides the warranty under its stated process.

No Additional Commercial Warranty

No separate voluntary commercial warranty is offered. This does not remove rights or remedies under applicable Sri Lankan law.

3. Information shown before purchase

The product page, cart and checkout identify who sells the item and the applicable warranty responsibility. The order record and invoice preserve the seller and warranty information accepted at purchase.

4. Seller Warranty claims

  • ✓Submit the claim through My Warranties with the order, affected unit and a clear fault description.
  • ✓VikiniMataEtha may send the claim and evidence to the seller, request a response, track progress and escalate delay or non-compliance.
  • ✓The seller remains primarily responsible for repair, replacement, refund or another remedy promised by its warranty and required by law.

5. Evidence we may request

Reasonable evidence helps identify the purchased product and assess the reported fault. Do not send passwords, OTPs or unnecessary personal information.

  • ✓Order reference, serial or product code, photos, short video and a description of when the issue began.
  • ✓The product and relevant accessories for inspection, plus prior service or communication records where relevant.

6. Common commercial-warranty exclusions

Only exclusions disclosed for the product and permitted by law may apply. A seller must show important exclusions before purchase.

  • ✓Misuse, abuse, impact, unsuitable voltage, overloading, improper installation or use against instructions.
  • ✓Unauthorised alteration or repair where it caused or materially contributed to the fault.
  • ✓Normal wear, consumables or cosmetic change, where clearly disclosed and not a covered defect.

7. Assessment and remedy

A claim may require identity checks, inspection or testing. The outcome may be repair, replacement, refund, another lawful remedy, no fault found or an explained out-of-scope decision. Status updates appear in the customer account.

8. False or misleading warranty information

Report a listing that appears to contain a fake provider, false period, unauthorised manufacturer claim or changed post-sale terms. We may correct the listing, preserve the purchased snapshot, investigate and take seller enforcement action.

9. Product safety

Stop using a product that overheats, sparks, leaks, swells, exposes wiring or otherwise appears unsafe. Disconnect power when safe, keep people away and contact support promptly. For immediate danger contact the appropriate emergency or public authority.

10. Statutory rights

These voluntary commercial-warranty terms operate alongside applicable Sri Lankan consumer law and Consumer Affairs Authority directions. Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or replaces a mandatory right, remedy, safety duty or minimum warranty requirement that cannot lawfully be excluded.
